In 2014, shortly after graduation from the Arizona Culinary Institute, Whitney Waisath went to work at the amazing Sassy’s Cafe. A few weeks later the owners son, Ryan Larsen, came home from college for Christmas break. Ryan and Whitney had a mutual friend in town who convinced Ryan to take Whitney to a Coyotes game with them. Ryan and Whitney hit it off and ended up being inseparable for the entire Christmas break. When Ryan left to go back to Virginia for school Whitney cried and cried. She knew she loved him and being apart was going to be so hard. Ten days later Ryan asked Whitney to be his girlfriend and less than a month later they both said “I love you” for the first time. The last year and a half have been filled with a lot of cross country flights and phone calls with difficult good byes. But on July 2, 2016, the good-byes ended as Ryan Larsen and Whitney Waisath were married at the beautiful Lavender and Old Lace.
The wedding party included: The Maid of Honor, Samantha Lucas and bridesmaids: Michelle Hansen, Amy Miner, Hilary Miller, Amber Harrison, Juliette Foster and Rylee Hiatt; The Best Man, Ryan’s brother, Jace Larsen and Groomsmen: CJ Waisath, Taylor Ottesen, Dan Ottesen, Sean Petersen, Austin Kleese, and Ciaran Giroux.
This is the groom’s beautiful mom, Melody Larsen. She owns Sassy’s Cafe and is the amazing artist who created this cake. The details are incredible! Not to mention everything from Sassy’s is mouth-wateringly delicious!
