Kelley — Mountain View Senior 2013

I have known Kelley since before kindergarten.  She has always been such a beautiful, smart, kind girl.  I am so excited that I had the opportunity to shoot her senior portraits.  Although she has been on cheer for years, we didn’t do any shots of her in her cheer uniform, but I did make her end the shoot with a few jumping shots to top off the night!  Congratulations cute girl!I think we spent as much of our shoot talking and laughing as we did actually “working.”  This girls laugh is infectious!!!

I have loved working with Tyler’s mom and her family for years for family portraits, and both his brothers senior portraits and sisters senior portraits.  So it was great when his mom called to have me shoot Tyler’s senior portraits too.  Congratulations on graduation Tyler!

May 2013 Fashion Friday: What to wear?

The most common question I hear is, “what should we wear for our photos?”  In order to help, I began a monthly “what to wear” post with an outfit suggestion. In this months suggestion, notice that this is not a matchy-matchy combination.  In fact, no two people are dressed the same.  But there is a general “feel” to the ensemble and take a look at the older daughters dress.  All the colors that the other family members are wearing come from the floral pattern on this dress.  Also, notice that coral is just a small accent in her dress, but it is picked up in big brothers shirt, mom’s necklace, little sisters belt and big sisters head band tying in that fun pop of color.   For many more “what to wear” options, click here, here, here, here, and here.

Max — Mountain View Senior 2013

Meet Mountain View senior, Max Jones.  Max is quite an amazing guy!  Not only is he talented musically, but he is also really smart!  Max was part of Mountain Views Academic Decathlon team.   Here is a little description from his dad about Max’s state competition, “Congratulations to Max. Today was the state competition for Academic Decathlon. Check out the medals! He took Gold in Science, Silver in Art, Bronze in Social Science — in the Honors division. He was high scorer for his team and his team took 3rd in state.”  Now that is impressive!  Plus Max is getting ready to serve a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Wow!  Congratulations Max!
