Introducing Sassy’s Cafe & Bakery

Hungry? If you aren’t now, you will be by the time you are through reading this blog post!  It is my pleasure to introduce you to Sassy’s Cafe & Bakery.  Sassy’s just opened on the south west corner of Lindsay and Main, in Mesa, and you have got to go in and check them out.

I first met owner, Melody Larsen, several years ago when she was catering a wedding that I was photographing.  Since then Melody and I have done countless events together.  Each and every time I am amazed by the creations that Melody comes up with.  Here are just a few of her incredible wedding cakes:

Melody quickly expanded from cakes to catering and now, naturally, into opening her own cafe.  The menu at Sassy’s is filled with not only mouth watering treats, but also delicious meals.  This week my sister-in-law and I went in for lunch.  We shared the Turkey Cranberry Sandwich and the BBQ Quesadilla and they were fantastic.  Who puts roasted sweet corn, black beans and barbeque sauce in a quesadilla?   Sassy’s does!  And they serve it up with their own  homemade creamy BBQ dipping sauce,  and it was incredible!

Next week we are going in for breakfast.  I am dying to try the Pina Colada French Toast or have another of their signature Fresh Baked Cinnamon Rolls (believe me, the picture below, does not do these justice!)

Sassy’s also sells mini bundt cakes, eclairs, petite fours, fruit tarts, mint brownies, peanut butter brownies, ultimate brownies, a variety of cookies, tiger butter popcorn, mixes, and gift baskets.  As well as their melt-in-your-mouth, to-die-for cupcakes filled with white chocolate moose and topped with the most divine white choclate frosting you will ever taste.  (*You get a little bite sized version with any meal you order)

For the grand opening of Sassy’ C’s cafe, Melody asked me to photograph these adorable little kiddos enjoying some of her treats. (*The one in the black and white polk-a-dot top is my little one, Brielle!)  When you go into the cafe, check out the walls for these lil’ cuties!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love sweets!  But I think that Melody’s cupcakes are about the best thing I have ever put into my mouth!  Not only is the cupcake itself heavenly, but it is filled with the most glorious filling and topped with creamy deliciousness!  I think I could live on these things!

Melody’s cakes are not just for weddings.  She makes beautiful creations for any occasion.

Melody Larsen and her cute family own and run Sassy’s Cafe.

Also featured at Sassy’s Cafe are the scrumptious creations of Little Dippers by Wendy St. Martin.  Try not to drool on your computer while you check out these treats:

Go on in and see what everyone is talking about!  You won’t be sorry!

Your photography is more amazing than ever!!! Every item looks fabulous…wish I lived in Arizona. The picture of the baby with pink frosting on her nose should be entered by you into a contest!
