The Hemeyer Family 2013

This is the greatest, most wonderful family I have ever worked with!  Okay, so I may be a little biased. . . because they are MY family!  With a mom as a photographer my kids got so overloaded with their photo being taken when they were young that we very rarely all get in front of the camera together any more.  I do make the kids each get dressed up and stylize their own little shoot on their birthday’s each year but we rarely do family portraits.  But this year is different!  My son, Mason, is leaving for two years on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on December 18th.  He will be serving in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Spanish speaking mission.  We are so excited for him, but also know we will miss him terribly.  So I just had to have a new family portrait that I can blow up huge and have in our home while he is away.  My wonderful friend and fellow photographer, Tami Webb, took all the family photos and some of the others below.  Thank you so much Tami for helping to capture our family and our own special crazy kind of love!

Brielle is our youngest.  She somehow earned the nickname “Bella.”  And as far as she is concerned that is her name.  Bella turned six years this year and in now in first grade.  She is our own little miracle baby!

Tianna turned 16 this year and just got her drivers license a few weeks ago.  She is a junior in high school, and is the center of laughter in our home.

Sierra is our oldest daughter and just turned 19 last week.  She plays trumpet in the Arizona State University Marching band.  They are one of the top five marching bands in the country and she loves every minute of it!  She is also on an academic scholarship as a freshman at ASU.

Mason is Sierra’s twin, but he will be quick to remind you that he is three minutes older and therefore the oldest in the family!  He too graduated from high school last spring and is currently working at Albertson’s while awaiting his departure date for his mission.

With Mason leaving for two years everyone wanted to get a picture with him: Now just in case these cute pictures and descriptions of my family make you think that this photo shoot went flawlessly, or that we think our lives are perfect.  Here are some out takes, and admittedly what about 50% of the shots actually look like: And one last parting shot!

I think the black and white one is my favorite too. They are all beautiful, though. I can’t believe how grown up all or your kiddos are. I wish I was seeing you guys soon!

The setting is neat, the colors are great…….even the black and white….great work getting everyone to “participate” on Que. Makes us proud as grandparents that you are all finding your footing. Happy 2014!!! pp & grammy
